entertainment, fun and activities. Did you know there is
a tow named Jersey Shore and it is not in New Jersey, it is in

and public beaches for you to enjoy. Below we have
highlighted some of the places to visit along the Jersey Shore
and enjoy the ocean.
Area Beach Information
The
Cape Mays - The nation's oldest seashore resort prides itself on
Victorian charm, historic inns, a thriving fishing industry and
some of the best restaurants in the state.
The
Wildwoods -
A melting pot for families and singles interested in the wildest
rides of the shore. Wildwood Boardwalk attractions are bigger,
glitzier and crazier than all the others, and the nightlife
scene off the Boardwalk provides just as much fun for the
adults. Wildwood's free beaches are the widest in the state —
plenty of space to call your own.
Stone
Harbor/Avalon -
The two towns of the "Seven Mile Beach" are generally
considered the upscale destinations of the Jersey Shore.
Spectacular homes, first-rate beaches and a tasteful shopping
district distinguish Stone Harbor and Avalon.
Sea
Isle City/Strathmere -
More affordable than Stone Harbor to the south, Sea Isle lays
claim to five miles of beaches and a paved Promenade with
amusement rides, concerts and special events. Families and
college students coexist in a resort where almost everything is
within walking distance
Ocean
City -
"America's Greatest Family Resort" includes eight
miles of beaches and a 2.5-mile boardwalk with rides, shops and
restaurants. Generations return every summer to one of the East
Coast's premier vacation destinations. Methodist ministers
founded the resort in 1879 and Ocean City has remained a dry
town ever since.
Downbeach
— Longport, Ventnor and Margate -
Primarily residential, these communities share an island with
Atlantic City but boast beautiful beaches and excellent
restaurants of their own.
Atlantic
City -
"The World's Playground" speaks for itself. Check out
our special guide to Atlantic City and its casinos.
Brigantine
- Virtually
in the shadow of the casinos, Brigantine is a world unto itself.
In distance, the island is but a bridge away from Atlantic City.
But in mindset, the laid-back beach community is miles away.
Long
Beach Island -
Eighteen miles of beaches, six miles off the mainland. LBI
includes thousands of summer rentals, none far from the beach on
the narrow island.
